What is a slug?
A slug is a string of alphanumeric characters (and some special characters) that identify your podcast in a human-readable form. You can think of one as a username for your podcast.
Each podcast uses a slug. We use your slug in URLs, including the URL for your podcast's RSS feed and your show's podcast website subdomain (if you choose to use it).
For example, if you choose the slug "my-great-podcast", you will have the following URLs:
-
https://pinecast.com/feed/my-great-podcast
-
https://my-great-podcast.pinecast.co
Changing your slug
If you change your podcast's slug, the URL of the podcast's RSS feed will change. To change your podcast's slug, please contact support. Note, however, that slugs must only be changed infrequently. If you've changed your slug recently, we may ask that you wait before changing it again.
