Subscribing to a private RSS feed

When you become a recurring donor to a podcast through our Tip Jar, you may get access to private podcast content. This content can be added to most podcast apps using a private RSS feed URL.

These private URLs are unique to you and your subscription, but function like regular RSS feeds. A feed URL might look something like this:

https://pinecast.com/feed/my-show/sub/aaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeee

Subscribing in common podcast apps

Apple Podcasts for iOS

Choose "Library" along the bottom. Choose "Edit" in the top right and choose "Add a show by URL". Paste your private feed URL.

Pocket Casts

On the "Discover" tab, choose the search option. Paste the feed URL in the search box.

Castro

On the "Discover" tab, paste the feed URL into the search box.

Overcast

Tap the "+" button in the upper right and choose the "Add URL" option. Paste the feed URL.

Breaker

Under Library > Subscriptions, choose the "+" option and "Add from link."

Podcast Addict

Tap the "+" in the upper right. On the next screen, choose the "+" again and select "RSS Feed". Paste the feed URL and tap "Add."

Downcast

Tap "Add" along the bottom. Choose the option to manually add a podcast and paste the feed URL in the field for "Feed". Tap "Subscribe" in the upper right.

Other apps

Consult the support resources for your app of choice. Search for the option to subscribe to a podcast feed by its URL.

Apps that do not support private feeds

If you use any of the following apps, you won't be able to subscribe to a private RSS feed:
