Prorated upgrades and downgrades

When you add or remove an add-on, change your billing period, or move to or from the Icebox, Pinecast prorates the change: you pay for the time you use, and you get credit for time you paid for and no longer use. What happens depends on the change.

• Add an add-on on monthly billing. The add-on turns on right away. The prorated amount is added to your next invoice; your card is not charged immediately.

• Add an add-on on annual billing. The add-on turns on right away, and your payment method is charged the prorated amount immediately.

• Remove an add-on. It turns off right away. The unused time is credited: on monthly billing against your next invoice, on annual billing to your account.

• Switch from monthly to annual billing. Your payment method is charged the prorated amount immediately. Pinecast shows the amount in a confirmation box first.

• Switch from annual to monthly billing. The monthly plan starts today. The unused part of your annual plan becomes a credit on your account, used for future invoices. You can see it as Account credit on the Payment tab of Settings on the main account dashboard.

• Move to the Icebox. Your payment method is charged the prorated amount immediately, and your add-ons end. Pinecast shows the amount in a confirmation box first.

• Return from the Icebox to Starter. Your payment method is charged the prorated amount immediately. Pinecast shows the amount in a confirmation box first.

Cancelling your paid subscription

Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then your account becomes a free demo account. To end it right away, contact Pinecast support: open Support in the header and choose Send a message to support (or Email support@pinecast.com). We cancel it immediately and refund the unused part of the period you paid for. See What is the cancellation policy? and our page on refunds.

While your subscription is set to cancel

While your subscription is set to cancel, you can't change your billing period or add-ons or move to or from the Icebox. Open My subscription on the main account dashboard, choose the Cancel subscription tab, and select Keep subscription first.
