First and foremost, the limits of the Free plan are lifted. Your entire feed, not just the most recent ten episodes, is shown to all listeners.
With the Free plan, episodes are capped at 48MB. With the Starter plan, episodes are capped at 64MB. You also get a monthly 64MB "surge" pool: if episodes exceed the 64MB limit, they'll draw from the pool. The surge pool resets after thirty days.
With all of the Pinecast paid plans, you have access to our import tool. The import tool will automatically download all of your podcast assets (audio, artwork, etc.) from your previous host and upload it to Pinecast servers.
You get better tools for understanding your podcast's analytics:
- Breakdowns of listens by episode, which help you understand trends in listenership.
- Breakdowns of listens by app and operating system, which help you to understand how exactly your listeners are consuming your podcast.
Analytics data is back-filled from any time you spent on our Free plan, so you'll always have a full analytics history.
All paid plans have the option to embed episodes as a HTML player. You can find the player HTML code on the Player tab of your episode dashboard.
With the Starter plan, you get a simple, clean podcast website that automatically updates with each episode. You can even use your existing domain name.
Private (Paid) Episodes
With the Starter plan, you can mark your episodes as "private". A private episode is only available to listeners that have a recurring tip set up with your podcast's tip jar. If they cancel their subscription, we'll automatically revoke their access to your private content.
